## Summary

Centrus acquired a critical centrifuge-component supplier while Westinghouse began a roughly $1 billion LEU+ fuel-factory build. Both moves reduce downstream execution risk but neither proves new operating SWU or qualified recurring fuel output.

## What changed

- Centrus paid about $116 million for Westerman, a supplier of centrifuge casings, other major components and UF6 cylinders.
- Westinghouse said construction is underway on a Columbia LEU+ factory targeting 2030 operations; LEU+ is 5% to 8% U-235 and is distinct from HALEU.

## Why it matters

The announcements make component manufacturing and fuel fabrication more visible in the constraint chain. Enrichment commissioning and delivered fuel remain separate milestones.
