## Summary

GE Vernova disclosed a Chesterfield 400 kV substation project and a first-stage permit application for Blue Energy's Texas gas-plus-nuclear project. Both add project-level evidence beyond the July results.

## What changed

- The Chesterfield announcement names Laing O'Rourke as the selecting contractor for National Grid works. GE Vernova's scope runs from engineering and procurement through installation, testing and commissioning.
- The September release says Blue Energy submitted the first portion of its BWRX-300 construction permit application. The remaining portion is expected in 2027 after required site-data collection.
- The Texas project is proposed to combine 7HA.02 gas turbines with BWRX-300 reactors. A submitted application is not an issued construction permit or operating generation capacity.

## Why it matters

Transmission equipment and nuclear permitting sit at different stages of the power buildout. Tracking those stages is more useful than adding proposed megawatts to delivered capacity.
